There are several names that are truly recognizable in US produced Godzilla-related materials. One of the most visible belongs to Ed Godziszewski, a fan who has been involved in just about every aspect of the fandom. Most notably, he publishes Japanese Giants magazine, wrote the extremely difficult to find The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Godzilla and co-produced Bringing Godzilla Down to Size. Ed very kindly sat down with me while I was in Chicago to talk about his passion for all aspects of Godzilla films.

Ed is a really great guy and over the years, he’s been building up much more than what you would call a collection of Godzilla stuff. Ed is essentially building an archive. If you’ve seen any production stills from yesteryear on any DVDs, chances are that Mr. Godziszewski provided those. If you haven’t checked out Japanese Giants, you really should; it is a fantastic magazine!
